Ryokan Seryo Oyado is a delightful retreat nestled just outside Kyoto, offering a serene escape into traditional Japanese hospitality. The staff's warm welcome and attention to detail truly embody the essence of omotenashi, making us feel like honored guests from the moment we arrived. Our room, with its tatami flooring and cozy futons, provided a peaceful haven overlooking a picturesque garden, where we could unwind and truly appreciate the beauty of Japanese design. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the exquisite Japanese Kaiseki dinner, a culinary journey that beautifully showcased the flavors of the season with artistic presentation. We also indulged in the Wagyu Shabu-Shabu cuisine, savoring each thinly sliced piece of premium beef cooked to perfection in a fragrant broth. The dining experience was a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, leaving us with a deep appreciation for Japan's rich gastronomic heritage. Not to be missed were the indoor and outdoor baths, where we could soak away the day's adventures while enjoying views of the meticulously manicured garden. The hotel's proximity to the Ohara Sanzan-in Temple and easy access to JR Ohara Bus Station made exploring the surrounding area a breeze, adding to the overall convenience of our visit. In conclusion, Ryokan Seryo Oyado offers a truly authentic Japanese experience, blending modern comforts with traditional charm. Whether you're a solo traveler seeking tranquility or a couple looking for a romantic getaway, this ryokan is a haven of peace and culinary delights that will leave you with lasting memories of Japan's exquisite hospitality. A stay here is not just a vacation, but a cultural immersion that will stay with you long after you leave.
